Amsterdam by night

De laatste avond in Amsterdam. Afscheid gevierd met een feestje maar ook met de laatste foto's.
De jongens en het meisje op de snapshot dachten dat ik in slaap gevallen was. Ik lag neer op een muurtje om foto's te nemen. Zonder statief doe je de gekste dingen om een foto te nemen met een lange sluitertijd.

The last night in Amsterdam. I celebrated the end with a party but also with pictures.
The boys and the girl in the snapshot thought I had fallen asleep. I was lying down on a little wall to take pictures.
Without a tripod one does crazy things to make a picture with a long exposure time.

Ronde van Vlaanderen

Zondag was het hoogdag. Twee keer! Het was Pasen én Ronde van Vlaanderen. Wat kan een mens nog meer willen?

Sunday was a holy day; Twice! It was Easter and the Tour of Flanders (a famous Flemish cycling competition). What more can one wish for?


In de Paddestraat reed Hoste nog voor Ballan. Een paar uur later zou het anders zijn.

Young old

Ik maakte de foto's bij een reportage over een discotheek voor oude mensen met een jong hart. Speciaal sfeertje maar ze dansen en dronken gezellig een pintje. Ik heb lang getwijfeld of ik deze foto's online zou gooien. De mensen op de foto's lijken zich zo goed te amuseren dat ik het niet kon laten.

I made these pictures for a story about a disco for old people with a young heart. The mood was special but they danced and drank a beer. I doubted for a long time whether I should put these pictures online or not. The people on the pictures really seemed to have fun so I couldn't resist.

Twee fotografen die zich een dagje amuseren. Het gebeurt te weinig, maar als het gebeurt, is het echt leuk.

Two photographers having fun for a day. It doesn't happen enough, but when it happens it's really nice.
